Raw Honey FAQs

Raw honey is honey that exists as it did in the hive, without being heated or pasteurized. It is usually unfiltered and still contains all the beneficial nutrients, enzymes, and pollen.

All our HoneyBeez honey is made from bees right here in the United States, more specifically, Texas. We cannot produce it all ourselves, so we have partnered with other trusted beekeepers in our area to provide you with the best raw honey possible.

No, honey is the only natural food that does not spoil or expire.

Store honey at room temperature at all times; it doesn’t need to be refrigerated. If you choose to keep it in the fridge, it will crystallize sooner than if stored at room temperature. Keep out of direct sunlight to prevent premature darkening. Always make sure the lid is tightly sealed.

Most honey, especially raw honey, will eventually crystallize or solidify. This natural process causes honey to become thick and granular, but it is still perfectly edible and enjoyable. Exposure to lower temperatures, like refrigeration, can also speed up the rate of honey crystallization. Our honey crystallizes more rapidly because we minimally strain it and do not subject it to high levels of processing and filtration.

If you prefer your honey to be in the liquid state you may warm it slowly  in a pan of water on the stove top at low heat, careful to not get any water into the jar.
